BYD Die established on May 29 2003 is a specialized die manufacturer established by BYD Co., Ltd. and Beijing Jichi Motor Die Co., Ltd. by asset reorganization.

BYD Co., Ltd. main works in R & D, manufacture and selling of rechargeable batteries, and its selling amount of nicad, Ni-H, and lithium ion batteries take the first, second, and third places, respectively.

BYD Die??s precursor is Beijing Jeep Motor Co., Ltd. Tool Plant. It is a sole motor die manufacturing company with a fair scale in Beijing, and has a long history of 40-year-lasting die manufacture and accumulated rich experience.

BYD Die is located in Beijing Economic and Technical Development Zone, cover an area of 280 mu, and its factory buildings have total floor area of 27,000sq. m. The company has employee apartment, employee mess hall, and guesthouse. In the coming two or three years, BYD Die will be built into the top-rank die manufacturing company at home.

CAE/CAD/Cam have been fully adopted in BYD Die. Used hardware includes 5 graphics workstations, 60 sets of high-end design special microcomputers; software include Autoform 4 as stamping simulation software and UG, SolidEdge, CATIA, AutoCAD M6 as the design and programmable software. A capacity to manufacture a sedan body die (containing externally covered part dies) annually has formed. In the first stage 150 million yuan will be invested, forecasted annual production value will be 120 million yuan. BYD Die also has 22 large-size numerical controlled processing centers, including 1 double-principal axis 5 shafts high-speed processing center made by Italy Phydia, 6 numerical controlled processing centers from Japan New Nippon Koki, 5 numerical controlled processing centers from Japan OKUMA; one 5 shafts laser cutter; 2 sets of large-and middle-size high-accuracy detecting equipment; 10 sets of large-size stamping adjusting equipmen; the company has the capacity to coordinate manufacture of screwed motor bodies, designs about 700 and more sets of large- and middle-size stamping dies; the company is a hi-tech enterprise, has a lot of veteran technical talents and skilled senior technicians.
