The plant established in 1958 is subordinate to Beijing Auto Industry Holding Co., Ltd., has a capacity to manufacture 600 thousand starting engines annually. Now it may produce 20 varieties of starting engines of different models, one variety of motorcycle purpose generators, and one variety of lifter purpose oil pump electrical motor. Over the years, it has supplied not only Beijing Auto Group, FAW Group, Jinbei Group, China Auto Group, and Jiangfa Group, but also the spare parts market. Its products enjoy reputation of numerous users, well sold in 20 and more provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions.

The plant has 230 employees, of them, 15 technical staff (one with senior professional title, 6 with middle-class professional titles, 8 with junior professional titles), 44 managerial personnel, 171 workers.

The plant realizes total industrial gross product of 23.943 million yuan, value of sales of 14.00 million yuan, containing an export value of 6.52 million yuan in 2003.

Main products and their market competitive power

Main products are various starting engines for mating Beijing Jeep's Cherokee engine, Beijing Foton's 493 engine, Beijing Internal Combustion Engine General Plant's 492Q engine, respectively, and electrical motor spare parts to export. Now it is engine spare parts supplier for Beijing Foton and Beijing Jeep Japan, and is the supplier of various electrical motor spare parties for Japan Eikoo?Nikko, and Hitachi Vehicle Co., Ltd.
