Outline of enterprise

Established in 1958, BATSP is a plant specialized in manufacture of auto transmission shafts, it is subordinate to Beijing Auto Industry Holding Co., Ltd. and its main products are various transmission shafts for ground cars, light-duty and heavy-duty trucks, and various machines. Adhering the principle "Taking people as a foundation, put quality in the first place" production of these shafts adopts corresponding international standards, and won certificates of the former Ministry of Mechanical Industry, China Certification Center for Auto Product, and Beijing Municipal Standard Bureau. In 1997, performances of 8 varieties of transmission shafts in BJ2021 series passed relevant test by American Chrysler Corp. JTE Quality Test Center. In 1999, the plant's quality control system won ISO 9000 Quality System Certificate, and the system is transformed as the requirement in QS 9000 standard, and the quality system document is recompiled to exercise all-round and efficient control over the whole production process. 

Equity mix

State-owned Beijing Auto Industru Holding Co., Ltd. holds 55% of its equity, Beijing City Auto Transmission Shaft Plant, a collectively owned enterprise, holds remainder 45%.

BATSP has assets amounting to 90.66 million yuan, of them, net value of fixed assets is 52.50 million yuan, debt is 90.07 million yuan; it realized a value of sales of 51.45 million yuan, a increase by 55.3% in comparison with that in 2002.

Main products and their market competitive power

Main products cover 8 series, 70 and more varieties products, they include middle- and heavy-duty transmission shafts of Model BJ2020, BJ2021, BJ6486, BJ1061, BJ1041, and 3-16T. they are supplied to over 20 complete vehicle and spare parts manufacturers, including Beijing Foton, Beijing Jeep, Beijing Auto Work, Shenyang Auto Work, Hunan Changfeng.
