Outline of enterprise

Founded in 1958, the factory is one of earliest manufacturers producing auto engine pistons with an annual production capacity of one million pieces and has developed 160 varieties of pistons of diameter30-155mm. In 1991, it was appraised as state Class II enterprise and in 1996 it was listed in the first batch of manufacturers of auto parts recommended. In 1998, it was appointed by the China First Auto Works as its assigned maintenance point. In 2002, it was reviewed and approved by French Rhine Company for VDA6.1,QS9000,ISO9000 certifications.

Personnel composition

There are 288 employees, including 34 engineering technical personnel, 14 senior engineers engaging in R&D of pistons, 5 expert consultants. The main forces in production lines are college and junior college graduates.

Space area: 115000 m²;  Construction area: 350000 m²

Operation performance

200000 pieces of pistons were produced in 2003 with sales of RMB 4 million yuan.

Main products and their market competitive power

Key products is aluminum pistons of 491Q,¢XL4G16A,¢4GH,¢4G64,¢493 Model. with annual production capacity of one million pieces. R&D capacity: it is able to R&D different gas engine pistons by ourselves. Technical supporting capacity: We have nice cooperation with Qinghua University, Shanghai Communication University, Beijing Industrial University, Auto Research Institute under the Changchun First Auto Works and we have been providing parts to Xiali cars and Four-ring cars of the First Auto Works.

The purchasing of world advanced piston R&D and manufacture equipment and test equipment at the cost nearly one hundred Chinese yuan has secured the stable quality in batch production. The superior organ of the factory, the Auto Repair Company, is one of 100 Tops in Beijing, which has sound economic strength and advanced management system to meet capital injection needed for the development of the factory. At present, there are 6 piston-casting machines, 3 mechanical processing lines and 180 units of testing equipment.
