Auto-manufacturing industry

Beijing Economic and Technical Development Zone is located in Yizhuang, is a special economic zone enjoying the policies on national economic and technical development zones and hi-tech industry zones and adopting a new management system conforming to international practice. The development zone takes an area of 15.8sq.km in its first stage., will encompass an area of 24sq.km as the planed. There are a reasonable layout, and complete essential facilities, including roads, natural gas, heat, power, and water supply, sewage system, communication, post office, satellite TV, special gases and others in the zone.
Road: A perfect traffic system has formed in the zone, and it is closely connected to Beijing’s land, water, and air communication network, passenger and freight transports are available to different directions.
Water supply: Water for the area of 15sq.km in the first stage. will be supplied by the city water supply network with total supply volume of 150 thousand tones per day, water pressure 0.18Mpa, and water quality will conform to national drinking water standard.
Drainage: The drainage system adopts a module in which rain water and sewage are separately drained by their respective pipes.
Power supply: Transformer substations with total load of 500,000kVA will be built in the area of 15sq.km in the first stage.. A power supply network will consist of 4 sets of 110kV transformer substations and one set of 220kV transformer substation and connected 10kV cables and a few of switch stations. The voltage at the user advance wire is 10kV (±0.5%) , with a frequency of 50Hz (±0.2%). The development zone will be energized by two-circuits. Yizhuang Administration of Power Supply in the development zone will supply power of 10kV to the 10kV switch stations.
Heat supply: Heat supply in the development zone is realized by the central heating system, and there are 3 heat-supply factory, with total installed capacity of 510tons/hr, providing hear source for users in vapor, heating, heat water for living purpose, and absorption refrigeration.
Fuel gas: The development zone provides quality natural gas with caloric value of 8500-10000 kcal/m3 for users, with a user pressure of 0.08Mpa.
Communication: The development zone telephone office is equipped with internationally advanced 100,000-line SPC exchange connected to the local telephone network via optical cables, and may provide various up-to-date communication means such as wire, wireless, microwave communication. Various services, including DDD, IDD, telegram, facsimile, wireless communication, video telephone, and data transmission, may be available here. Furthermore, a CTV network has been completed in the development zone.
There are not only core facilities such as general factory buildings, logistics center, bonded warehouses, returned student founder park, and sci. & tech. founder park, but also complete mated service facilities, including custom, central post office, office of telecommunications, financial service, hospital, and fire control center in the zone; in addition to those above, there are perfect living facilities, including dwelling houses, hotels, bars, and shops.
Over 1,000 enterprises have entered the development zone, their total investment amounts to 4billion USD, of the enterprises, Sino-foreign joint companies, Sino-foreign cooperative enterprises and wholly foreign-owned enterprises take over 75%, with an average invested amount of over 10million USD. 36 of the enterprises are listed in the strongest 500 enterprises in the world, 60 and more are transnational corporations. The invested density on the industrial land farmed out is 9.57million USD per hectare,the highest reaches 48.88million USD per hectare. And the enterprises in production create the gross industrial output value of 169million yuan per hectare, and realize tax revenue of 13.38million yuan per hectare.
In terms of national industry policies, Beijing Economic and Technical Development Zone encourages development of hi-tech enterprises, export and foreign exchange-earning enterprises, Sino-foreign joint companies, Sino-foreign cooperative enterprises, wholly foreign-owned enterprises, and auto manufacturing enterprises as well as other energy-, water-, and/or land-saving, technology-intensive and/or pollutant-free enterprises with good economic benefit and high added value.
