The keystone is to take Zhongguancun Life Science Park as the innovation and R&D base, Beijing Economic & Technology Developing Area and Beijing Bioengineering & Pharmaceutical Industry Base as the industrialization bases and to make the "two wings of North and South" develop simultaneously.

Beijing Economic & Technology Development Area

● Geographical position: located in the southeast part of Beijing; it is the important base for high-tech industry and modern manufacturing industry in Beijing.

● Enterprises in the area: there are more than 1,300 enterprises in the area, and the total investment exceeds 6 billion US dollars. Bayer from Germany, Aventis Pharmaceuticals from France, GE Medical System Group from USA, Daiich Pharmaceutical Co. from Japan, Chinese Tongrentang and National Virus Biology Center have all settled down in the development area.

● Geographical position: located in the Beijing Zhong guancun Development Area with the densest intelligence resource in China.

● Park status: aiming at becoming the international science park of first-class, unifying life science research, enterprise incubating, pilot test with production, achievement evaluation and identification, biotechnology exhibition, risk investment, international exchange, and personnel training.
